Class Blog
Discussion of the reading is a vital part of the learning process and is essential for class participation. In preparation of class dicussions you are to post to our class blog each week. The blog provides you with the opportunity to respond to the material that you find most meaningful, in a way that is relevant to you. You should plan on adding to the reading or posing a new question, for us to comment on; likewise, you will want to comment on and add to the existing conversation. Below are some points for you to consider as you read. It is not necessary to address every poing, but you do want to find some "meat" in your reading for discussion
What strikes you as the most important? Why?·
What strikes you as not necessary? Why?·
What examples can you relate to? Have you had experience with them in the past?·
What do you still have questions about?·
What does not make sense to you?·
What ideas do you think need to be researched further?·
What from the reading could you turn into a writing assignment either for yourself or your students?·
What from the reading reminds you of a teacher you have had in the past? Why?·
What connections can you make from the reading to other classes? These questions are mere suggestions for guiding your blog post.
Feel to address other reactions to your reading as they occur.
